SGP/Safari on Snow Leopard

DarkMorford
I've come across several sites (NewEgg being the most recent) where SGP doesn't work. It's detecting the password-input field correctly—a gray triangle appears in the upper-left corner. However, the SGP dialog box doesn't show up, and it doesn't change the content of the field, even if I enter my master password before activating the bookmarklet.

SuperGenPass 2.01
Safari 5.0.3
OS X 10.6.5

Er, that should be upper-right corner. Can't believe I didn't notice it until just now.

This is happening to me in Safari 5.0.3 on Mac OSX 10.6.6, as well as in Chrome. So now I'm stuck using Firefox if I actually want to log in to the sites I frequent.

The weird thing is that most of the times that SGP 2 will fail, SGP 1.3 will not. Unfortunately, there are some times that SGP 1.3 will fail whereas SGP 2 will not too, so you cannot just downgrade and have just one. You can have v1.3 from the customize page linked at the FAQ

I have this problem with some sites using chrome. For example, when I try to log into gmail I get the grey tirangle. When I logged into facebook all worked normally.

There is a patch version of sgp that solves the gmail gray triangle login. Maybe it will work elsewhere. The patched version is discussed at http://superuser.com/questions/151369/why-doesnt-supergenpass-work-on-some-sites-when-i-use-chrome and is available at http://www.voilaweb.com/tools/sgpchrome.html

Is there any particular reason this patch is not integrated in SGP's main page?
